So many post-apocalyptic things about bombs and radiation and lots of death. All I can think of is Nausicaa, where Mother Nature just starts to take over again and purge all of the pollutants. I could just see life continuing on (no humans in this scene, but they do still exist) and animals, including pet cats and dogs, returning to the wild and adapting.

Just to dig up the skills again. Gah.

You could still use the idea. There's always more than one way to visualize a subject. :) I saw another one already entered that's got a huge waterfall and trees.
